I'm a disabled creative based in Norwich. I graduated from BA (Hons) Press and Editorial Photography in 2021 with a first. I lean more towards a documentary style but love art/creativity in general. I've got some projects in the works which I hope to make some movement on in 2026.

Third self portrait in this series, while I was editing this photo it felt like it had captured the feelings I was having at the time of experiencing depression and having those moments of motivation and joy - but the counter intuitive experience of them being experienced alongside depression can be disorienting. It’s an odd one to be able to fully articulate to someone who doesn’t have that lived experience? Of experiencing happiness in the shadow of depression.

I’m not sure what these blossoms are but there were so many of them at Waterloo park when I went last week!! The weather was so sunny that it felt more like summer - this photo felt like it captured the sunny spring vibe from the day! 🌸🌞✨

Forget-me-nots are one of my favourite flowers to see each spring, it's part of the borage plant family along with Green alkanet - which I always remember after mum once told me borage rhymes with porridge to help me remember that one!

I've got a back log of photos from my river walks by the cathedral - it's a super accessible walk that's easy to get to being right in the city centre! It can be hard to find green spaces that are accessible sometimes, so it's great to have something like this in the city!

I went for a walk today along the river wensum by Norwich cathedral, it’s my favourite nature walk in the city centre - being wheelchair accessible and so easy to access!!

It was lovely to see the swans nesting, I used my zoom lens so I could keep a good distance from them!! Hopefully in a few weeks there’ll be some cute cygnets!! 🦢✨

I recorded the audio on my tascam recorder during my walk too! I haven’t done that for awhile so def room for improvement on the audio quality 😅🎶🦆

Just a gal committing to the self portraits, I hate having my photo taken but I was happy with how these turned out - I never really feel comfortable with how my feeding tube looks or the visibility of it but I think seeing myself through the lens of the camera is helping me frame it differently :)

These self portraits made me think of the last line of the poem ‘The Orange’ by Wendy Cope:

“I love you. I’m glad I exist”

Okay so backstory, I have a feeding tube (Nasogastric) - it’s something I don’t always feel confident with - I wear fun tape to make it feel prettier but I guess there’s not always a way to make something that feels very medical feel as if it blends in as part of your outfit to be overlooked by others.

It’s not something that should have to be hidden by any means! But I think a combo of my own internalised ableism and the medicalised way I can be perceived by others or stared at makes me feel uncomfy or less confident in myself?

So! Gonna start a lil self portrait series :)

Me and @jcaryyphotography went to Cromer this week!

It was absolutely freezing, but I had fun setting up my film simulation profiles on my Fuji before hand - my first time trying them out! I really enjoyed using them, analogue photography isn’t something that’s accessible for me at the moment so I’m definitely going to try more of this 📸✨
