In November 2019 I went on a trip with my university to New York. It was my first time in America and I was very excited to see what things are like over there, how they differ to life here in Britain. This is why I decided to make a portrait series called 'New York: POV' to show some of views and insights into New York. This was done primarily through street photography, capturing candid moments on the go. To do this I used the Canon 5D Classic, with a 50mm prime lens for consistency across the photos. I think it is interesting to see what a tourists perspective is on a place and how this can often differ from that of someone who lives there.

The last image in this series - entitled 'Subway Singer' also won the music portrait category in the Falmouth University Press Awards.
